NISA issued a press release saying that this man who held various positions in Banadir region was a member of Al-Shabaab and he was hiding inside the Somali government agencies. .
“The National Intelligence and Security Agency has captured the former governor of Dharkenlay district, Abukar Ahmed Addow Tifow, who was a member of the AS who has been hiding in the government agencies for some time,” the statement said.
NISA also said that Abukar joined Al-Shabaab between 2013 and 2014, and received secret intelligence training in Barawe, Lower Shabelle region.
He was also accused of passing on information to the group about the officials and what was going on in the offices of the Somali government agencies and he also participated in the conspiracy of the workers, government officials and Somali culture without being suspected because he was also a district chairman. and held various positions in Banadir region.
